How to run a successful youth sports popcorn fundraiser

  1. Tie it to one cost. "Tournament travel" or "new uniforms" tells supporters exactly what they are paying for. Put it in the fundraiser name so every shared link says it.

  2. Launch at the preseason meeting. Share the invite code when the team and its supporters are already gathered, so everyone who wants to help joins on day one.

  3. Let the coach announce it. A short message from the coach carries more weight than a forwarded flyer. Ask them to post the link with one sentence about why it matters.

  4. Share progress after games. Weekends are a natural time to post where the team stands toward its goal, with a thank-you to everyone who has already ordered.

  5. Ask coworkers and local businesses. Gourmet popcorn is an easy order for an office break room or a small business that already sponsors the team.

  6. Use a short window. Two to three weeks fits between registration and the first tournament. Extend it while it is running if you need more time.
